Spotlight on Flock
Flock Transfer Graphics are getting a lot of “air time” these days and though they have been around for a while they have surged in the last few years for several reasons. Multimedia is “in” everywhere, internet, music and sound with a vast array of visuals and the fashion industry. Flock combined with traditional plastisol transfers and printing, embroidery, embossing, foil, glitter, rhinestones and more. Flock graphics are 100% color fast, soft and dimensional and can be produced for a fraction of the cost of embroidery. Designs can be ganged or we can cut to suit. Unlike almost any print or transfer Flock transfers can be applied and then other transferred ‘media’ can be heat-transfer applied. HIX flock graphics can be applied to anything that will withstand the 305?F heat necessary to create a lock tight bond. We recently did a custom 2-color Flock transfer on Frogg Togg Tyvek rain gear. Flock is ideally suited to High Contrast type designs. Some of the more notable designs I have seen at retail locations include Jimi Hendrix, Che Guevara and Snoopy.
