It's that time of year again for the largest and most important show of the year for our industry as we count down the days leading up to the SGIA 2008 Specialty Printing and Imaging Expo being held in Atlanta GA. October 15-18, 2008.

HIX has been working hard over the past 9 months to develop several new and exciting products for both the traditional screen print textile market as well as the digital Direct to Garment market. HIX will be showing three new products that are designed to cure finished garments printed with the new Direct to Garment ink jet printers. These new products include our S-650P auto open heat press with digital pressure readout, the NPII-3616 electric Conveyor dryer, and the new HIX "Dry Box" a new stand alone curing unit that dries 4 garments at a time in a vertical drying chamber that offers a great solution for shops that are restricted by space and do not have the room for a large conveyor textile oven.

New products developed by HIX for the textile screen print market include our new ASH-1818 automatic flash cure unit that has been designed with a low energy consumption eco friendly "green" feature. The ASH-1818 saves energy and reduces ambient air temperatures in the printing production area. HIX added a state of the art thermocouple that allows the heater panel and the blower to cycle on and off in between flashing cycles. The air blower cuts flash time in half and is ideal for nylon and other delicate substrates. The ASH-1818 also features forced hot air, 18 x 18 IR panel, footswitch and automatic shuttle function.

HIX has developed the ideal SET UP SHOP solution for the beginning "start up" screen printer. The "Little Pro" line is designed to fit into small foot print area and takes up less than a 6’ x 6’ floor space! The new compact HIX Little Pro features our new 2255 (120 volt) conveyor dryer stashed away neatly under our totally expandable, 1 station, 4 color press fully loaded with micros, and a separate TT-180E table top Exposure unit. At $4,995 this new compact screen print shop will be a show stopper for sure!

HIX will introduce its newest air automatic 16x20 and 15x15 clam presses. The all new N-880 and N-680 Commercial combines the durability of the C-800 Commercial unit with the value of the N-840. Good-bye gas shocks! The N-880 utilizes the "Air Spring" technology replacing the gas shock which were prone to wear out. The N-880 will have a 1/2" pad and the larger C-800 air valve for improved cycle times and maximum clamping. Here is the best part, the N-880 will be priced at the old N-840 price.
