HIX Green Campaign
HIX Green Campaign May, 2009

In 2009 HIX Corporation has taken on the state of the US economy as a personal and top priority. The campaign began with the
Stimulus Rebate program this month (read more about this program at www.hixcorp.com/cash_back) in an effort to drive sales and encourage consumer spending. However, it's not just about getting the end users to spend money. The goal is to get them to make smarter purchases. Purchases that will for one get the economy flowing again, two help the end user make money, so they have more to spend and thirdly be ecologically conscious so they can save money on high energy costs. Over the next several months you will see this campaign revealed and are encouraged to take part by pointing out these features when selling HIX equipment.

The first point in the "Green" campaign is an obvious one to raise awareness of the "Green" features, as in ecological consciousness, of the machines. For a limited time, the heat press dog houses will be painted in a metallic green.

Now the machines will be green in two senses. One the obvious color of the machine is green, but the machines are also green in the sense that they use FAR less energy
than most competitive machines (as they have for years). In fact power efficiency studies show that HIX heat presses use more than 43% less energy than other heat presses. The energy efficiency can be attributed in large part to more efficient heat platen. HIX platens are designed to use fewer watts to heat. The cal rods are cast into the platens and are perfectly placed so that they heat the platen faster and require less energy to reach the set temperature. HIX presses also have the absence of Teflon coated platens which radiate heat into the shop and on the operator. Not only will radiating heat cause the machines to cycle on more frequently consuming more energy but the radiating heat will heat the shop and operators raising cooling costs. For those consumers that desire a nonstick covering on their heat presses, HIX offers PTFE Pad Protectors that fit on the upper and lower platens. The pads last longer, are heat resistant at high temperatures, have minimal heat radiation and are less expensive to replace than re-coating the platens with Teflon.

Besides using less energy, HIX heat presses put "green" (a.k.a. money) in the pocket of the consumer. As either a primary source of income or a side business to make the burden of the cost of living a little lighter, decorating garments and adding a personal touch to mugs, license plates, key chains, plaques, etc. with sublimation has a low start-up cost and are very profitable. HIX offers over 20 models of heat press machines. They offer the textured appliques and plasisol numbers to decorate garments. HIX has screen print equipment, dryers and ovens for garment decoration, both traditional screen printed and direct to garment; as well as for other industrial needs. Contact HIX at 1-800-835-0606 or (620)-231-8568 for help identifying all the profitable areas available to fit your customers' needs including food preparation equipment. Or you can simply visit www.hixcorp.com and follow the links to your area of interest.

Finally, HIX machines reduce waste simply because they last. HIX machines are designed with a solid, one piece, industrial cal rod that doesn't have cold spots, heats evenly and is warranted for life.

April 22nd marks the start of the two year Green Generation campaign by The Earth Day Network which identifies individuals that are actively participating in solving global issues. It's the hope of HIX Corporation that you will participate in promoting a greener earth by explaining the advantages of HIX machines both from an economical and environmental vantage point.
